Join me in London for a one to one street photography workshop designed to give you the essential tools and methodologies for any type of photography, not just on the streets. Rather than giving you a long sales pitch, below are the most common questions you might have about this workshop:

I will email you on the address you provided at checkout, and we can arrange specifics. I will also send you a list of questions to get a better understanding of what you want to get out of the workshop.

Will this workshop cover editing?

Not in great detail. However, I will have my iPad with me, so should you have some editing questions, we can cover them in a coffee shop.

Can I bring a +1?

The advantage of a one to one workshop is that we can go to places not suitable for groups. So while you can bring a +1, it would mean some locations might not be feasible.

Do I need to bring my own camera?

Yes.

Do I need a camera?

A camera is preferred, but a phone is also fine.

What gear do I need?

Keep it simple and small. A body and a 35 / 50mm prime is all you need. Avoid big bulky gear.

What else do I need?

A good pair of walking shoes and the correct clothing for the weather.

Does the workshop go ahead in bad weather?

Bad weather = good photos, so in most cases, yes. However, in extreme cases we can reschedule.

Is there a rigid schedule?

There is a rough route with fixed start, lunch, and end points. However, the day is very loose and we go with the flow regarding light and weather. The idea is to mimic a typical day of shooting, which is often guided by what we see. This workshop is about documenting what’s around us, rather than hitting photo spots.

Do I need to be a street photographer?

No, my approach is about documenting where you are in an artistic way, whether that’s in the street or on a beach.

Do I need to take photos of people?

No, as a matter of fact, this workshop actively avoids taking photos of recognisable people.

Is this workshop only in London?

Yes, as I’m only comfortable running it in a place I know very well.

Is this workshop for all skill levels?

Ideally, you already have a basic understanding of photography. However, it’s open to all skill levels.

How long does the workshop last?

We start at 10am and finish around 4pm.

Do we stop for lunch?

Yes, and there are frequent coffee shops along the route if we want a break or a drink.

Where in London is it?

We will be in The City, between St Paul’s and Liverpool Street Station.

Is this workshop physically demanding?

There is a lot of walking with some stairs, narrow pavements, and uneven surfaces, so expect to do 15-25k steps depending on the day.

Is this workshop suitable for wheelchair users or those with walking difficulties?

It depends. Drop me an email with specific requirements so I can work out a route before you book.

Can this workshop take place in another part of London?

Yes, as long as it’s somewhere I’m familiar with (most places in Central London). Drop me an email with more details.

Can this workshop take place at a different time?

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, but this will impact the locations we can visit.

This date isn’t suitable for me, do you have other dates?

There will be future workshops, so I suggest signing up to my newsletter to be the first to know. If you have a very specific date, then drop me an email.

I can’t attend anymore, can I get a refund?

I operate a very relaxed refund policy and understand that life happens. I issue a full refund even if it’s on the morning of the workshop. With that said, I operate on good faith, so please don’t book knowing you might cancel.

What if you cancel?

I promise that I will do everything I can to honour the workshop date. However, just like you, life can happen, so in case of illness or a family emergency, I might need to reschedule. Should this happen, you will get a full refund along with a discount should you decide to rebook. If you’ve already made plans to visit London, I will send you a guide so you can get the most out of your visit.
