Sony to Fujifilm Conversion Lightroom Profiles
A few months ago, I received an email from Miloš, the founder of Fujify. He shared with me a project he was working on called Fujify. The idea behind it is that many photographers love Fujifilm colours and the ability to use photos almost straight out of camera, however many also need the professional features that you can find in Sony bodies, which can be lacking in Fuji systems. He set out to create a collection of Lightroom profiles that, when applied to Sony files, give you a similar result to a Fuji RAW file.
At first I was a little sceptical as it sounds almost too good to be true, however after some testing, I gotta say, they work as you’d expect. Is it a perfect 1:1 result? I don’t know since I can’t do any AB testing, however it would easily fool me, a 7-year-long Fuji shooter.

What do you get? – A collection of Lightroom profiles covering all of the main Fuji film simulations that you can find in their latest cameras. You also get different variations of each simulation if you want to fine-tune your look.
What are they good for? – I can personally see someone utilising them in their workflow to create a fast system for batch editing many photos. I also see them being used by photographers who own both systems and want more consistency. Finally these are great for people who want quick, easy and good looking results.
Profiles not Presets? – These are profiles which can’t be adjusted and are applied in the same way a LUT is applied to video. This gives you a baseline image where you can make adjustments from. Lightroom already has a bunch of its own profiles you can pick from, and these act in the same way.
Will I use them for my work? – In short no, but only because I have my own style and my own way of editing. If I didn’t have my own look that I spent years perfecting, then this pack would be a logical option.
